Mission

Thee mission of the Green Team at P.S. 120Q is to promote environmental awareness and sustainability that will benefit the environment.

Goals

Get the school, classmates, and family to take action however big or small
Educate classmates about sustainability ideas for home and school
Improve the quality of life at the school through good consumption and conservations habits
The team members will learn about environmental issues, meet new people, and share ideas
Members will become more aware of their own environmental impacts
Students will work not only with the other team members but also get members of the community involved

Green Team Project

This morning the Green Team was hard at work on their project. Students have been collecting empty plastic bottles of all sizes and plastic bags. They are going to be repurposing those materials to create a work of art. Not only is the Green Team part of the project, but also the entire school has been pitching in to collect the necessary items for the project. Now that the Green Team has the required items they are working on the next phase to put them together.

First Green Team Meeting!

The Green Team held its first meeting today! The Green Team is composed of representatives from Grade 2 all the way to Grade 5. The team is led by Ms. Day which has been the team leader in the past.
