We are thrilled to announce that P.S. 120 will be receiving a generous allocation of $250,000 for a new security system, made possible by the support of Assemblymember Nily Rozic. We are grateful for AM Rozic's commitment to our community and her dedication to the safety of our schools.
Our very own Alicia Marcincowski received the surprise of a lifetime. The longtime educator was recognized for excellence in teaching.
Alicia Marcinkowski is a pre-K to 5th-grade teacher at P.S. 120 and was awarded the Flag Foundation’s Flag Award for teaching excellence.
All of the K-2nd grade students at P.S. 120Q participated in the NYC Scholarship Accounts program, which has provided over $44,000 in scholarship money set aside for the student’s college education and future career goals. The scholarship money is made available through the NYC Kids RISE Save for College Program, which supports young students’ educational and career dreams.
Anastasia Difino, an English language arts and social studies teacher at PS 120 in Flushing, was recognized as one of the five grand prize winners of this year’s FLAG Award for Teaching Excellence. Difino single-handedly altered the way fourth and fifth-grade English and social studies are taught at her school.
New York City Department of Education (DOE) held the "2018 Fall Parent-child English Course Closing Ceremony" at the Public 120 Elementary School.
